5. Cookies
We use cookies on our website. These are small text files that are automatically created by your browser and stored on your terminal device when you visit our website. In the cookie, information is stored that arises in each case in connection with the specific end device used. However, this does not mean that we gain immediate knowledge of your identity.
These cookies are set as so-called first-party cookies ("own cookies") or third-party cookies ("third-party cookies"). First-party cookies are set by the website you are currently on and are not accessed by browsers across domains. A third-party cookie, on the other hand, is set by a third party, i.e. not by the actual website you are currently on.
Cookies are further differentiated into technically necessary and technically unnecessary cookies. On our website, both technically necessary cookies and technically unnecessary cookies are set in accordance with the following paragraphs.
a) Technically necessary cookies
Technically necessary cookies are mandatory for the operation of our website and lead, for example, to certain functions being made possible for you in the first place. These technically necessary cookies, which are only required and set for the individual necessary online session, are automatically deleted after you leave our website.
The legal basis for the use of these technically necessary cookies is Art. 6 para. 1 p.1 lit. f GDPR.
b) Technically unnecessary cookies
Insofar as you have declared the corresponding consent, we use so-called technically unnecessary cookies on our site. The technically unnecessary cookies are mainly used to evaluate the use of the website as well as user behavior, to compile reports on the activities of visitors to the website and to provide other services related to the use of the website.
The technically non-essential cookies we use are explained in our cookie banner in terms of how they work, how long they last, and possible third-party recipients of the data. If certain third-party providers used by us set cookies as part of the service provided to us, this will also be pointed out separately in our privacy policy.
The legal basis for the use of technically unnecessary cookies is Art. 6 para. 1 p.1 lit. a GDPR, provided you have given your consent.
You can revoke your consent at any time. Furthermore, you have the option to configure the setting of cookies at any time. For example, you can set your browser so that it informs you in advance about the setting of cookies or completely denies cookies.
Java applets and Java script are used in the provision of our Internet offer. If you do not wish to use these utilities or active content for security reasons, you should deactivate the corresponding setting in your browser.
We or certain third-party vendors may use a software technology called clear gifs (also known as web beacons/web bugs) to help us improve our services by measuring their efficiency and performance. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier and have a similar function to cookies. Unlike cookies, which are stored on the user's computer hard drive, clear gifs are invisibly embedded in our Services.
We and certain third-party vendors may also use - primarily for advertising purposes - certain tracking technologies (Cookie Tracking). Some browsers may use their own management tools to remove or block such technologies.

The use of these web fonts is in the interest of a uniform and appealing presentation of our online offers. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para.1 p. 1 lit. f GDPR.

Videos are embedded on our website via YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA, represented by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. The videos are stored on www.youtube.com and can be played directly from our website. Our website thus enables you to connect to YouTube. Normally, when you call up a website with embedded videos, your IP address is already sent to YouTube and cookies are installed on your computer. However, we have embedded the YouTube videos with the "extended data protection mode" on our website. YouTube itself provides this extended data protection mode and ensures that initially no cookies are stored on your end device. However, when you call up the website in question, even in "extended data protection mode", a connection is established to the "DoubleClick" network of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, and your IP address is transmitted. In particular, this informs you that you have visited our website. However, this data cannot be specifically assigned to you unless you have logged in or are still logged in to YouTube or another Google service before accessing the website.
As soon as you start the playback of an embedded video by clicking on it, YouTube only saves cookies on your end device through the extended data protection mode, which do not contain any personally identifiable data, unless you are currently logged in to a Google service. These cookies can be prevented by appropriate browser settings and extensions.
We have neither knowledge nor influence of the possible collection and use of your data by YouTube. For more information, please refer to YouTube's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com .
